This story was mostly inspired by the service station that I would make a habit of popping into after work every day. Well, not every day, just the days where I was having a hard time and hating my day job. So, yeah, every day. Anyway, I would go in and get some Freddo Frogs and geez do I love me some Freddo Frogs, they are great.
Until one day, the guy behind the counter said “yep, like clockwork, you’re getting Freddo Frogs” and he’d already rung up the till even before I had gone up to the counter!
I’ve never been back again.
ALSO: This strip guest stars Jeremy Noye, an awesome fellow who got himself a guest starring role in Rose just for backing me on Patreon! You can back me on Patreon right now for as little as $1 a month and get bonus comics, behind the scenes goodies not seen anywhere else and – wowie – even your face in an upcoming strip!
I think turning into a puppet would be amazing because everything you do would be hilarious. My favourite muppet from The Muppet Show was Fozzie Bear because he was always trying to be funny and boy howdy can I relate. I wish I was Fozzie, but let’s be honest I probably ended up more like Gonzo.
Personally I think a night spent in bed with Netflix and chocolate is pretty awesome but who am I to judge people who are into weird activities like going out or doing things?
I never saw the fuss with camping. All that mucking about to go lie on the ground and have twigs poking into your back while you read a book! You can read a book in the park and then order a pizza for much less hassle. Maybe some people like the challenge of depriving themselves of life’s essentials like a roof above their head or not having to worry about the tent falling apart because you’re not sure the pegs are in right.
The office Microwave is a political nightmare, when you think about it. Are you allowed to take other people’s stuff out if they’re not there and you’re waiting? What if it’s not microwaved enough? What if you make a call to bung it back in for another minute and then it’s microwaved TOO MUCH? And what kind of work friendship do you need to have to be able to handle someone else’s food? It’s all just too much sometimes and it’s no wonder I just go to the Bahn Mi place across the road instead.
