Hello everyone! I just wanted to write some stuff down about the first (of hopefully many) Comic Street Markets!

The idea is simple but absolutely brilliant – over 30 local comic makers in the one place, and that place is the middle of the city’s busiest shopping area, where thousands of regular people are walking by all day! I was so excited to be a part of it and see how this crazy experiment works out.

It was a fantastic day! The location turned out to be a great idea, as the crowds were basically all people who didn’t realise they were walking into a comic event, but loved what they saw. It is so cool to show people who didn’t know they liked comics that, guess what, they like comics!

Rose #3 debuted at the show and it was a hit! (And remember, if you couldn’t make it to the event you can get your copy now from the store!) I want to say a big thank you to everyone who checked it out! I’m also happy to announce that Rose #1 is now completely sold out – so if you managed to get a copy you got yourself a collector’s item! (Don’t worry, the digital copy is still available for you to see what you missed!)

There’s plenty more photos on the Comic Street Markets Facebook page to check out – but for now I just want to say a huge thank you to the event organisers Sam and Bea for putting on an incredible show!

See you next year!
